Holly Jarman, PhD is an Associate Professor within the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a Senior Social Scientist working with the US Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineer Research Development Center. As a political scientist, she researches the impact of market regulations and trade agreements on domestic health and social policies, with a focus on the United States and European Union. Her work has been published in journals which include The Lancet, Government and Opposition, European Journal of Public HealthJournal of Public Health Policy, BMJ Tobacco Control, and Public Policy and Administration. Her monograph, The Politics of Trade and Tobacco Control, published by Palgrave Macmillan press, explores the consequences of trade law for tobacco control policies. Professor Jarman holds PhD and Master of Research degrees in Political Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA Honors degree in British Politics and Legislative Studies from the University of Hull, UK.
